A modern attendance management system called ‘Truepresence’ has been developed to ensure accurate and transparent tracking of attendance of officers and employees of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department.
Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, inaugurated the software at a meeting organized by the Energy and Mineral Resources Department at Bijoy Hall of Bidyut Bhaban on Abdul Gani Road, Dhaka today.
Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting, the Energy Advisor said that the ‘Truepresence’ system has been planned to be implemented in all organizations and companies under the Energy and Mineral Resources Department. If the system works successfully and consistently, it can serve as a model for other government sectors. This initiative will ensure greater transparency and accountability in government work as well as make a significant contribution to the digital transformation of government work.
Stating that there are ample investment opportunities in Bangladesh, the Energy Advisor said that Bangladesh has a special relationship with Saudi Arabia and this relationship will be stronger in the future. At the same time, the Advisor thanked the Saudi Arabian registered company SDM and all the related departments of Energy and Mineral Resources for their cooperation in launching this software.
Speaking as a special guest at the meeting, SDM CEO Dr. Salwa Abdullah F. Alhajja said that SDM company feels very honored to cooperate with the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources in the development of the software. As a result, a new dimension of the relationship between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will be revealed. The CEO also said that the software will help the department’s officers and employees in proper monitoring and control, which will contribute to the national economy of Bangladesh.
In addition, in his special guest speech at the meeting, Saudi Arabia’s Charge airfares in Bangladesh Abdulaziz Fahad M. Al Ibrahim said that this software will play a significant role in ensuring data security and user privacy in line with global standards. In addition, he also said that this software will be helpful in real-time overview and reporting at the ministry level.
Speaking as the chairman of the meeting, Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department Mohammad Saiful Islam said that this initiative has been developed based on the attendance system development proposal of the Saudi Arabia registered company SDM and there was no financial cost to the government. This initiative was taken to provide a secure and efficient attendance management solution. The system has now been successfully finalized with the strong support and active participation of the officials working in the Energy and Mineral Resources Department. The core development of the software is being carried out by local Bangladeshi developers and the Energy and Mineral Resources Department will provide the necessary infrastructure in this regard. Finally, he declared the meeting closed by thanking all the stakeholders associated with this initiative.
Senior officials of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources and representatives of print and electronic media were present at the meeting.
